Henry W. Cowen Sr.
A memorial service to celebrate Henry's life was held at the Wildwood SDA Church, May 25 at 4:00 pm Eastern Standard Time.
Dear Friends,
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear husband, father, founder and CEO, Henry W. Cowen. Henry passed away unexpectedly on April 19, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and dedication to Christian ministry. Henry was not just a leader; he was a devoted husband, father, and friend to many. His kindness, passion for ministry, and unwavering commitment to spreading the message of hope through Christian literature have touched countless lives. Henry's journey began on November 28, 1941, and throughout his 82 years, he dedicated himself wholeheartedly to our family, his community, and his faith. As the Owner and President of Family Heritage Books Inc., he poured his heart and soul into his work, embodying the values of integrity and compassion every step of the way. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Henry was known for his love of nature, particularly bird-watching. The sight of a cardinal would always bring a smile to his face, reminding him of the beauty and wonder of God's creation. We take comfort in knowing that Henry is now at rest, awaiting the glorious return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As believers, we have the blessed |
assurance that Henry is sleeping peacefully until the day when he will rise again to meet the Lord in the air.
Henry is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jeannie Cowen, and their children, Sharalea, Gena, and Henry (Skip) Jr., along with their families. Together, we continue his legacy with grace and determination, ensuring that his vision for Family Heritage Books lives on.
